The contemporary portrait

The Classic book captures who you are today through natural, documentary photographs made in your home and everyday surroundings. Your photographs are paired with carefully selected memories and anecdotes, creating an intimate portrait of the person you are now and the experiences that shaped you.

The life story
A contemporary photographic portrait woven together with archival photographs, memories and stories from your life.

The Extended book goes deeper, bringing together photographs of your life today with archival photographs from the past. Two interviews allow time to uncover the people, places, experiences and stories that have shaped your life, creating a richer and more substantial personal memoir.

The Heritage book is designed for a deeper exploration of the stories held within a family archive. Alongside contemporary photographs, it brings together a larger collection of precious photographs, memories, anecdotes and personal stories. The material is shaped into a considered visual narrative, preserving not just the photographs, but the voices, personalities and stories behind them.

Every package includes two copies of your book. Additional copies can be ordered for $200–$300 each.
Extended page count
If your story needs more space beyond the page count, additional sides can be added at $40 per page side.

1. Can I add more archive photos to the Heritage Memoir?
Yes. The package includes up to 60 archival images. Additional scanning is available at $30 per image.
2. What if I need more than two interviews for the Extended Memoir?
Please get in touch to discuss. We can arrange a custom quote for more complex projects.
3. What’s the difference between the Extended and Heritage packages?
Extended includes a second 2-hour interview, allowing more time to gather stories, memories and anecdotes.
Heritage includes up to 60 archival photographs — twice as many as Extended — with more emphasis on preserving your family’s photographic history.
In short: Extended gives you more stories; Heritage gives you more photographs.
3. How do I know which option to choose?
During our initial conversation, I'll help you understand which format best suits your needs, preferences, and the story you want to tell. There's no obligation.
4. Can you travel to me if I'm outside Auckland?
Yes. While I'm based in Auckland and work primarily within the greater Auckland area, I'm happy to travel to clients in other regions. For locations outside Auckland, travel costs (flights, accommodation if needed, and ground transport) are passed through at cost. Please contact me with your location and I'll provide a quote for your specific project.
5. Can I order additional copies?
Yes. Additional copies can be ordered at printing cost. The price depends on page count and current printing rates. I'll provide an exact quote when you're ready to order—typically books range from $200-300 depending on specifications.
