CREATIVE CAREGIVING

For many years, I worked one-on-one with seniors as a creative caregiver - using the arts to spark connection and creativity. Some people enjoyed painting and collage, others preferred to look at art books, or listen to poems and stories being read aloud.

Often, without meaning to, these sessions became a kind of memoir - a life surfacing in fragments, through words and images. They helped shape my vision for photobook memoirs, and consolidated my belief in the power of memory and storytelling.
